In preparation for the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide in 2025, the NEU commissioned this film to be made about the NEU-funded schools’ poetry project which has been running for 3 years.
This film was shown to 1500 educators at the Annual NEU Conference in April 2025 and has been shared widely ever since. It encapsulates the lessons young and old can learn from the Bosnian genocide and the relevance of this learning to life here today and going forwards: remembering yesterday whilst acting today.
