The Srebrenica genocide was a tragedy that ripped through the heart of Europe. Each passing year its anniversary provides us with an important opportunity to pause and reflect on the devastating consequences when hatred and intolerance are allowed to thrive.
Nothing will ever make up for the horrors of the past but by raising awareness of this tragedy we can use the lessons to create a more tolerant society today. Education is our biggest weapon in building a tolerant society and over the last two years Remembering Srebrenica’s education programme has helped thousands of people to work towards a better future—ensuring never again, truly means, never again.
