An in-depth conversation with Srebrenica genocide survivor Nedžad Avdić, who was 17 years old when he survived a mass execution of Bosniak Muslims by Serb forces in Srebrenica. Nedžad told his experience of the genocide, and how he survived despite being shot three times, as well as the role of the UN, and how each individual can work to tackle hatred. He discussed his own journey since that time, specifically why he decided to return to Srebrenica and focus his efforts on genocide education and the challenges that face Bosnia today.
