People in Barking and Dagenham came together to remember the victims of the Srebrenica genocide and learn lessons for their own community in the Town Square on 10th July. The event was organised by Barking and Dagenham Council with Barking and Dagenham Faith Forum.
Bradford City Council is set to fly the flag for Srebrenica after a Welsh flag maker offered his services free-of-charge.
The name Srebrenica has become synonymous with those dark days in July 1995 when, in the first ever United Nations declared safe area, thousands of men and boys were systematically murdered and buried in mass graves.
